Ruth Diana Lounsbury (12 de março de 1956), mais conhecida como Ruth Ozeki, é uma escritora, cineasta e sacerdotisa budista zen norte-americana, vencedora do Women's Prize for Fiction.
Biografia Os seus livros e filmes, incluindo os romances My Year of Meats (1998), All Over Creation (2003), A Tale for the Time Being (2013) e The Book of Form and Emptiness (2021), procuram integrar narrativas pessoais e questões sociais, abordando temas relacionados à ciência, tecnologia, política ambiental, raça, religião, guerra e cultura popular global. Os seus romances foram traduzidos em mais de trinta idiomas. Ruth leciona escrita criativa no Smith College, onde ocupa a Cátedra Grace Jarcho Ross de 1933 de Humanidades no Departamento de Língua e Literatura Inglesa. Ozeki foi ordenada como sacerdotisa budista Zen Soto em 2010; pratica o budismo Zen com Zoketsu Norman Fischer. É editora do site Everyday Zen.
